DALLAS DRAGONS 16U Green Wins AABC STATE CHAMPIONSHIP


The Dallas Dragons won their second consecutive AABC State Championship over the Dallas Tigers-Arias 12-7.  The 16U Green team will advance to the AABC Regional Tournament.


On the year the Dragons had records of:


17U 13-16-1

16U Black 23-13-1

16U Green 22-11-2

15U 18-14-4

 

 

1st Annual DALLAS DRAGON CHARITY FOUNDATION Golf Tournament huge success. 

The Dallas Dragons have started a new Charity Foundation in hopes of building an indoor facility and fields in the future.  Special needs players will also have opportunities to apply for scholarships beginning Fall 2008. 

On Monday, April 21, at the River Chase Golf Course in Coppell, more than 60 players donated their time and money to this great cause.  We are very fortunate to have such a turnout and look forward to building a special chairty foundation

The Dragons 501c3 Tax Exempt Status will be finalized in the next few months.  

Coach Jeremy Browning would like to extend a special thank you to a few people who had everything to do with this event.

JOSH CARROLL SIGNS WITH  2008 D2 WORLD SERIES Participant OUACHITA BAPTIST UNIVERSITY

Creekview's JOSH CARROLL signed a scholarship with D2 Ouachita Baptist University, currently #25 in the National Polls.  The Dragons are very proud of Josh, son of David and Debi Carroll of Carrollton, TX.  Josh has a younger brother, Aaron, on the 14U Dragon team.

We are very proud of Josh and Coach Scott Norwood of OBU is receiving  great ball player and an even better young man.

 

 

JAKE BERMAN headed off to play at DAVIDSON COLLEGE

JAKE BERMAN  has committed to play at Davidson College.  Jake is an outstanding student-athlete from Ft. Worth Country Day, one of the top prep schools in the country, and is the son of Andy and Sherry Berman of Southlake.  Jake is the 4th Dragon player to commit to a Division 1 Baseball Program this year.  The Dragons had 3 commit to The United States Air Force Academy earlier this Fall.

Former Dragons Reunite in Conference Match up

Nick Thomas(McClennan/Plano) and Jesse Payne (North Central Texas/Hebron) reunited as the former Dragons played one another in a key Conference baseball game.  Thomas helped McClennan split with North Texas as Thomas pitched 7 strong innnings picking up the win for McClennan. 

In the first game, won by NCTC Payne was 1-for-1 with a double, scored a run, was hit by a pitch and laid down a sac bunt.
 

 Payne and Thomas were on the first Dragons team and have awards named in their honor in which Dragon coaches vote on the Team MVP, Gold Glove and Most Outstanding Pitcher. 

 

DRAGON PLAYERS INVITED TO UNDER ARMOUR NATIONAL TRYOUTS / Make TOP TOOLS List

 

Recently Sophomores R.J. Talamantes, Colton Seeton, Doug Votolato and Freshman Blake Lunday were invited to participate in the UNDER ARMOUR National TryoutsR.J. Talamantes is the son of Roland and Mary Talamantes of Colleyville and he attends Heritage HS.  Doug Votolato is the son of Vince and  Peri Votolato and attends Marcus HS. Colton Seeton is the son of Scott and Alice Seeton of Midlothian.  Freshman Blake Lunday is also from Midlothian and is the son of Bryan and Jenny Lunday.  Colton and Blake both attend Midlothian HS.

The DRAGONS are very proud of these three student-athletes .
